So, to introduce myself, my name is Debra, I am a bookworm, and I am proud of it! Literally, words are my life. After achieving an honours degree in a communications field and over a decade of being the official gatekeeper for every last word that went to print for the UK’s leading papercraft company, I have spent the last few years fully dedicated to working freelance in fiction editing and proofreading… and loving it!

Qualified, accredited, and, perhaps most importantly, experienced in this field, I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and passed the College of Media and Publishing Proofreading and Editing Diploma with Distinction. I have extensive experience in copy editing and proofreading fiction novels and have collaborated on countless manuscripts with Boldwood Books, the publisher recently announced as joint winner of 'London Small Press of the Year' at The British Book Awards 2023.

Always to be found with my nose in a book, I adore contemporary fiction, women’s fiction, historical fiction, thriller and suspense fiction… in fact, you name it, I’ll read it and I will proofread and copy edit fiction manuscripts with pleasure.
